Holi is also known as the festival of colors or the festival of love is celebrated in India and abroad. This festival marks the arrival of spring and signifies the triumph of good over evil. Holi is celebrated every year somewhere from end of February to March. The dates may vary, but the amusement and enthusiasm in people never die. Parents take their children for the Holi shopping from where they select their favorite pichkari and the colors to throw at their friends. Even adults are found shopping just like a kid. Here are some tips for you before buying the Holi clothes

· Pull out the old clothes you have in your wardrobe. Use those which you have thought to dispose.

· Choose the right material of your cloth. Make sure your holi dresses do not cling to your body while you are enjoying the festival with water colors. This will probably put you in an awkward situation. Avoid wearing synthetic fabrics as they can easily cling to your body once wet.

· It is suggested not to dress in dark color as it is considered to be against the tradition. Holi is the festival of colors so let your dress be its own fashion designer. White is the best suited traditional holi cloth you should wear while celebrating this festival. If you do not have a white dress do not panic or go for a new one. Instead, wear any light color clothes there in your wardrobe.

· The most important thing to be kept in mind is to have a dupatta or a long scarf with you. Especially for ladies, it is a must. It really does not matter whether you are in western or an Indian attire scarf or dupatta can be easily carried. It is often seen that ladies get conscious with their attire after getting drenched in the bucket full of water and the balloons. The only savior can be a scarf.

· Do not go sleeveless or on your hot pants if you have a sensitive skin. Some percentage of the colors now a day has chemical which can later cause skin irritation or redness. To avoid it wear full sleeves and fully covered bottoms.
